A landscape monitoring initiative.
This project has drawn on the model developed in the Cairngorms National Park. It is a citizen science/public gathering project which aims to catalogue photographic information from key locations across the AONB to help monitor, track and interpret landscape and habitat change. The photographs that people upload will be available to project partners and the public through a website and will provide a fascinating record of seasonal change, the effect of light and weather and changes in land use, habitat and management.
The project has no set timetable and may expand geographically beyond the AONB area, subject to how effective it is and what further partner interest develops. A long lifespan is important to us to aid knowledge development and meaningful results.
